Just caught this...Ironman II vs. Avengers Movie (Error?)

I just rewatched Ironman 2 last night and realized Stark changed his chest arc reactor's shape into a triangle at the end when he created a new element. So why was the Avengers' version of him shown with a circular power box again?

The truth is simple continuity failure--Mr. Whedon did not account for the triangular shape when they were designing the Iron Man suits for The Avengers.

The plausible explanation, though, is suit redesign--Stark wound up not liking the triangular shape and went back to a circular one. I think the time span between IM2 and Avengers is probably a couple of months *shrug*. Presuming that he doesn't have to redesign something from scratch he can probably produce a suit in about one or two weeks and he has a handful of them ready at any given time.

The true continuity question is The Hulk. How is Banner able to keep control over the Hulk now? Presumably, based on events at the end of The Incredible Hulk (the Ed Norton one, not Eric Bana), is that through concentration and meditation (he was studying Capoeira in Brazil) he has managed to gain enough control over his emotions that he can will the change, leading to a controlled Hulk. If something triggers the change without him willing it, though, then it appears that leads to an uncontrolled Hulk.

We are pretty certain, I think, that Thanos will be the main bad guy for Avengers 2 but recall that at the end of Captain America we saw Red Skull translated...somewhere...but we did not see him die.

Also, how do we know that The Tessaract is a unique object? Apparently Thanos knew about it, knew that Odin had one in his possession, and realized that Loki would be in an excellent position to tap its potential. Of course, why would Odin have ever "hidden" the thing on the Earth? That still makes no sense whatsoever. The safest place to have kept it would have been the treasure room in Asgard.

*ugh* Too many questions that screenwriters are not able to answer.
