I started a new character with BG2.. and I can't remember how to defeat the Empathic Manifest.
If I remember right, I'll be able to fight it down to "Near Death" but can't get past that point.. It just keeps hanging on..
Can someone remind me how to defeat it?

It's beeing powered by the dead guardians hate for their former God. You should try to help the guardians.

Use your bhallspawn power to heal it and it will disapear.

They also kindly provide two scrolls of healing right in the temple, that are just screaming "USE ME".

EDIT: Just wondering, why the spoiler tags, wouldnt someone who didnt want to know how to defeat the monster stop reading after the first post?

You could say that for almost everything. You cant assume that they will stop reading right away though. Having the spoiler tag assures that they do stop reading once they see it contains stuff that they do not know and leaving a space also helps. Its not always obvious that a post is going to have spoilers in it. Its standard practice at these forums to have spoiler tags, which i think is a good thing.

you have to heal the balor so that the avatar of amanautor will appear and hell ask you to complete the staff (or something cant remember)which you can you use to kill the eye.
