So I just beat Irenicus and started ToB but forgot to complete the romance with Jaheria (which is supposed to culminate with the PC sleeping with her.) Can I still complete it in ToB? Also I hear that the romances continue in ToB so I hope I haven't screwed myself by never being able to continue the Jaheria romance.

Re: Jaheria Romance

Also, I never completed my stronghold quests. Will I be able to travel back to Athkatla for the Planar sphere quest and then also the De'Arnise hold quest?

I don't think it is possible to go back to the SoA areas once you start ToB, presuming you don't have any mods installed. Of course, you can always use the cheat console and then MoveToArea yourself to go wherever you want. It is also possible to correct the romance by setting the variables...but I would have to research what those variables are. You could search for them as easily as I could, of course.

I do have a bunch of saves in the hell area. Could I use the cheat console to get out of that area and go to Athkatla and finish up the Romance/Quests then go back to the hell area? Will that cause any bugs and or ruin the game in any other way?

Edit:
So I tried cheating by typing this in the CLUAConsole: MoveToArea(AR0400)
It doesn't seem to work and I get this message:
lua: call expression not a function
Active stack:
Active stack:

Edit Again:
Ok so I figured it out. This is what I'm supposed to type in:
CLUAConsole:MoveToArea("AR0400")
Hopefully now I can get the Jaheria romance to work and also complete the stronghold quests. I also tried researching the romance variables thing and it looked a bit confusing. I'll get back to you if I have any more trouble. Thanks for your help so far though. :)

Edit:
Hmmm looks like the Jaheria quest isn't working. I got to the part right before Dermin is supposed to attack when you sleep in the wild. Dermin isn't showing up. Apparently I'm supposed to use shadowkeeper. Is there a way to do it without using shadow keeper?

Re: Jaheria Romance

So after digging around for a little while, this is the information I came up with regarding Jaheria's romance. I'm gonna write out all the useful information here in case either I or somebody else needs to figure this crap out.

-To progress or finish the romance (legitimately) you must be in Chapter 2, 3, or 6. (Before you deliver the lanthorn)

-The quest progresses either by a real time timer or by sleeping (depends on what part of the romance you're currently on)

-To speed up the real time part so you don't have to wait for the next dialogue to appear, type this into the cheat code area:

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","GLOBAL",1)

-To get terminsel to appear for the final romance sequence, enter the following codes in one after the other.

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("TerminselSpawn","GLOBAL",5)

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("JATERMIN")

-To get dermin to appear (This was my guess, however it didn't work for me. I'm thinking it's because I'm in chapter 7)

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DerminSpawn","GLOBAL",#)

1 = he hasn't shown up yet, but should. 3 = second time he comes by (after Jaheira's investigates Harper Hold). 5 = when he fights you (all but 5 occur within Athlatka) After 5 it's dialog text options. 6 and 7 are the dialog itself. 8 is when Jaheira talks to you. 9 sets a later variable, and 10 is over

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DerminAppear","GLOBAL",#) (This code may work if you're in chapters 2, 3 or 6)

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("JADERMIN") (This code spawns a Dermin, but he doesn't say anything. I'm not sure how to spawn the one with all his comrades who fight you. Personally I decided to skip this part because I couldn't figure out how to get the fight to occur.)

That is more information about the romances than I knew. I have to admit that I never really bothered with the romances, though. Let my character in a game have a romance? Why? If I want a romance, I'll seek it out in the real world. Yes, I'm certain it makes for a richer game experience but because you have to choose someone else's options to make the scripts and dialogues work correctly I don't bother.

Yea, I don't think the romances in the game really provide any real similarity to real life romances. But I've been trying to play through this game and finish every quest possible and not doing the romance makes me feel like I missed out on part of the game. Also, once you talk to Terminsel the last time, your main character gets 100,000 exp and Jaheria gets a Harper Pin which is a really good item as it provides some sort of magic resistance and +5 save vs. spells (I think). The exp. and the pin are pretty good reasons to finish the romance, too.

I followed the romances in the game for roleplay reasons, I thought it really fitted into the story my half-orc barbarian nailling the winged elf chick and then dumping her (from the party) and never seeing her again. It makes the character feel more rounded and realistic being a bastard in every conceivable way, and not just by murduring and stealing.
:P
