Mod SPOILERS
- - - - - - - OMG i love it! i just installed this, and started an evil party. I'm a Lawful Evil Swashbuckler-mage, dualed at level 11. I currently have Viconia and Korgan in my group, gonna get edwin later for a grand total of 4 NPC's. Anyway, back to the mod! Undead have been souped up heaps! They are actually a challenge now instead of just a bump in the road (floor) those spells they spit out with absolutely NO casting time make then a major pain in the ass! Most of them are low level spells, but when you are getting hit by doom several times, ray of enfeeblement (encumbered cannot move on Korgan!) and then horror, they are very annoying/potent! This has been a very good experience so far, im actually using my familiar (imp w/ polymorph self) as a tank (stupid i know, but it sure is fun) instead of just summon->backpack. This is the fisrt time EVER i've ben forced to summon fodder just to survive. Tryed it without fodder, Korgan was level-drained to death, Viconia managed to steal a few Zombies, which were promptly slain, then i re-loaded. There have also been a number of new random encounters added. I was walking through the government district on my way to get Vici, when i was stopped by a group of bandits, that i have never in my umpteen hundred games run across! I can't wait for the mage/Lich/Dragon battles!! I recomend everyone go out and get this mod NOW! |
Thanks for the insite to the MOd I am almost done my solo game and I will have to give it a try after. Is it TOB friendly.

Yikes! Just controlled a shadow with Viconia's turn undead... I've just seen his spell list, its bigger than my mage's!
Shadow's Spell List: 1*Spook 5*Magic Missile 5*Mirror Image 2*Fireball 1*Hold Person 2*Lightning 2*Dimension Door 2*Polymorph other 1*Animate Dead 1*Chaos 1*Cloudkill 1*Monster Summoning III 1*Shadow Door 1*Flesh to Stone 1*Globe of invulnerability 1*Invisible Stalker This is just a shadow, imagine what the more powerfull undead will have. My only gripe with this mod is that the bandits that you are attacked regularly by all have the same loot. Almost every time they attack you, you are left with a heap of potions of extra healing. After 6-7 attacks, i have well over 30 of them. Also, i have had the same 3 spells (oracle, monster summoning III and minor spell deflection) 7 times. Still, the bandits are challenging (for now). I now realise why Dundee has resist Fear in his spell list for his sorcerer. I find i cast that as a precurser to ANY battle with spellcasters. Quote:

And White Lancer I agree with you 100%. It's a really fun challenge and it only keeps getting better. I've installed it with TOB now and loving it. |
Pfft. 1 Chain Lightning( or Skull Trap), and those Shadows are either dead or near-death. I will admit I was happy that they have been boosted, but a level 12+ Good/Neutral Cleric with Turn Undead will have a grand day against them.
I am bamboozled by the Female Lich and Skeleton Warriors in the room next to the Shadow Thieve's Headquarters though. I refuse to use Protection from Undead scrolls for that fight, so I intend to grab the Staff of Magi first, then revisit them. On a sight note, it was fun when I met the party of muggers( including a Wizard Slayer!), the Bridge District muggers( it was nighttime), and the Cowled Wizards( I casted a spell). Never have I seen so many dead bodies before... well, except in ToB. |
