Shadows of Amn has carved out a large chunk of my brain for itself, habitating space next to Clue and Silence of the Lambs in terms of memory storage. And yet I still play, and find the thrill of victory and agony of... less illustrious victory... every time. Oh, to be a new player again!

It has glitches but it is proof of the superiority of the idea of having games stored on CDs not floppies. Massive increase in space enables a lot more of the features of D&D to be brought into a computer game.
By itself it is very good indeed, then it can be boosted with mods.
