how can i counterspell kangaxx's imprisonment? its so hard to kill the @$$H()!3

protection from magic scroll, protection from undead scroll (make sure you dont use this on your entire party though) spell immunity:abjuration, beserk (i think) or enrage(again, i think)

You're asking how to undo Imprisonment? Freedom (9th level mage spell) is the only thing that works. You must cast Freedom in the exact area where the person was imprisoned. Now you must be wondering, "That's great. Where can I get Freedom?"

I first remember seeing Freedom scrolls in Chapter 5. If you're not there yet, I suggest reloading a save position where your NPCs aren't Imprisoned. If you're past Chapter 5, I suggest checking around town. Maybe more seasoned Bhaalspawn around here know the other Freedom locations.

I'm not sure whether it is possible to get random scrolls of Freedom earlier than this.

Apart from what is already mentioned, if you want to *prevent* Imprisonment, use Berserker's rage or Spell trap.

If you have minsc in your party send him under berserk. He will not be effected by the imprisonment spell. Or get protection from magic scroll and head in and kill him. But why waste a spell of this kind of power when you can send minsc in. And the barbarian rage will not work against imprisonment.
But like everyone has said you need to get the freedom scroll to get any party members from under the ground. And if you are just playing SOA with out TOB you get only a few scrolls so if you have more then one person down there you may not get every one out.

You can make everyone else invisible.

Kangaxx can see invisible units. Unless you are using Protection from Undead scrolls.

im losing my patience with this pathetic lich. well anyway i dont have minsc with me i disposed him. im with the three babes. and one thing... i cant go berserk... im a MONK!

If you cast Protection for Undead when he changes into demi-lich form he will no longer be able to see you and thus wont be able to attack you. The last time i beat him i had my party out of his sight and cast Protect from Undead on Keldorn with Holy Avenger and sent him in. I walked away for a 2 mins and came back and there was nothing but a pile of dust on the floor with a nice shiny ring on top [img]smile.gif[/img] . If you dont have holy avenger use someone with a +4 (i think?) weapon to attack him.
