Can't get Revenant to work....
I know this is a really old game, but I came across it the other day and wanted to try and play it again. So I inserted the first disc but got a message to the likes of "cannot write revenant.ini" -- I have a virtual PC installed on my hard drive, which converts my OS from Windows XP to Windows 98. I got the game installed, but when I go to play, I get a screen saying that the game is loading...... and it stays that way. It doesnt change, and I know because it let it do that for a little while, without any change. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Re: Can't get Revenant to work....
If this is the game you are referring to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revenant_(video_game) It should not cause too many problems, it is only a decade old. Dosbox may work if Compatibility Mode does not, Dosbox is freeware found at Sourceforge. Try switching off Compatibility mode then try various modes, see if anything works. |
Re: Can't get Revenant to work....
My copy of Revenant worked just fine on XP, though it ran a bit fast for some reason. And if you turned on their slow-down feature the dialogue would get choppy. But I think after I patched it, it was fixed. At anyrate, not sure what the issue could be and I'm stuck with Vista now so I can't test anything on my end and have results be comparable.
