Can it be done? I've spent quite some time now fiddling with ShadowKeeper, but I cant seem to raise Frankenstein's 'monster'. What I mean is, I want a Lich as my second in command. Or B a Lich, whatever. Has anyone ever succesfully turned him/herself into a Lich, or made a Lich that was under their control?
YES, I'm suddenly aware of my obssesssivenessss with Lich. They so *RULE*! I think they're so cool because of their magical nature. just look at their animation, so wicked when they're casting a spell. When I met my first Lich 2-3 years ago, I wanted to turn off my computer, so freaked I was. Does anyone know where to find some good literature on Liches? I cant seem to find any good sites, other then those that promote drawing dragons. [ 10-24-2002, 03:48 AM: Message edited by: Zuvio ] |
well, i can tell you (from my old paper and dice games) that liches do not advance in levels or experience. they are stuck with what they've learned in life, which is usually enough...
aside from that, i'd like to see a game like this for dragonlance. that's be way too sweet. would be kinda cool to become a deathknight |
That would be definitely nice! I loved liches since I have played M&M VIII. A party full of liches was my enemies' nightmare ;)
And, those liches (I know, they do not obey D&D ;) ) did level up even after the conversion. Bah, anyway, my sorc is more powerful than a pack of liches ;) The only thing nad about liches is that their avatars have a low movement rate. Will need to play with Shadowkeeper to correct that ;) |
with {ctrl}-Q you can add any creature to your party so find all the liches and add them one by one (including Kangaxx) I think you can change your avatar with shadowkeeper, but don't ask me how

Furthermore, I would like to see the Lich that would stay alive beside an elf... (Speaking from my....elf....point of view....) |
Ain't I good! ;)
Enjoy! Note: When I exported/imported lich, he became an ordinary mage. However, it is a bard kit (mage kit cannot be made). Why didn't it became a bard? Add: This kit uses different spell sistem, so don't use more than one in your party. Read the documentation for more info. [ 10-24-2002, 11:05 AM: Message edited by: Vedran ] |
BAH !!
I'm sooo disappointed in the BGII-Liches. I ctrl-Q'ed the elemental lich. He doesn't have spell triggers or sequencers (Sidenote: how nice is it that Irenicus can cast improved mantle thru a spell sequencer), doesnt have all the contingencies he uses throughout the battle, doesnt get prot from evil while gating a pitfiend. When using the MAGE disabler script, he DOES cast the spell trigger I gave him, but then starts chasing enemies all around the screen to maze them. When his movement speed is raised to 13-14 he is as fast as my PC with boots of speed and when used as a normal mage, he is quite nice. Can cast three lvl 9 spells. Especially because of his higher alacrity. |
One of my MOD ideas is to make the Lich you meet in Chapter 5, Alchra Diagott by name, available to join your party--if you're Evil enough. But now that you say that Liches can't Level Up, I'm having second thoughts. Granted, a non-advancing Lich in the party would be truly bitchin', provided she already knows Level 9 spells (which she does--she casts Imprisonment), but she wouldn't get the cool ToB HLAs. And there are other drawbacks: Liches walk so slow they need Boots of Speed just to keep up, they're immune to Healing spells, you cannot Raise them if they die (you have to wait for them to reincarnate themselves in their phylactery), and what would happen if a Neutral Cleric in the party Turned Undead?
And then there's the spells they cast: You'd expect Liches to be Necromancers, but they cast plenty of Illusion spells, usually Mirror Image and Mislead. But all the Liches in the game cast from the same variety of spells, so do Liches have spell restrictions? If so, what are they? This set of random thoughts brought to you by Pennzoil. |
