I might even put Nigeria/Group B ahead of you, figuring that Greece is better then Serbia. I'd also say that Italy got off easier then England. |

Spain in group H have the easiest group IMO. Spain are finally showing the form that their club teams have promised for so long ... my 'dark horse' to win the cup. :)

Re: 2010 World Cup Draw
Exactly how hard is it too draw a cup? I mean just a few crayons, a sheet of paper, and some kids, presto, a cup of the world!
Are these prestigious private schools that will compete in this draw? OR, just run of the mill public sectors? |
Re: 2010 World Cup Draw
Speaking of the us team - I'd say they have evolved immensely the last ten years - but I'd still put them on the average european teams - not among the best ( Germany, Holland, England, Spain, Portugal ).
I'd rather say they are on same level as Denmark, Belgium, Serbia, Croatia ( a year back Croatia would have been in my top list in Europe ) Italy, France and Sweden. They are above Greece, Ireland, Norway, Poland and well imho the rest of europe. But they lack one thing immensely and that is the physique that european players aquire through a much harder program over the year. My prediction follows. Group A South Africa 2nd in group Mexico Uruguay France 1st in group Group B Argentina 1st in group Nigeria 2nd in group South Korea Greece Group C England 1st in group USA 2nd in group Algeria Slovenia Group D Germany 1st in group Australia Serbia 2nd in group Ghana Group E Netherlands 2nd in group Denmark 1st in group Japan Cameroon Group F Italy 2nd in group Paraguay New Zealand Solvakia 1st in group Group G Brazil 2nd in group North Korea Ivory Coast Portugal 1st in group Group H Spain 1st in group Switzerland Honduras Chile 2nd in group |

Solvakia in front of Italy?
Nigeria 2nd in group ahead of Greece and South Korea? Some interesting calls there Sparhawk. :P |
Re: 2010 World Cup Draw
What a bad draw from asian countries, I see each of them being last of their group. Getting 3rd place would be a bid achievement.
My not so accurate prediction. :D Group A 1.Mexico 2.South Africa Uruguay France Comment : Thre might be a chance that home country going out in the first round? Can I say ouch? If France pull their acts together, they might have a chance. Group B 1.Argentina 2.Nigeria Greece South Korea Comment : Can Greece pull an upset with their ultra defensive tactic again? Who knows.. Group C 1.England 2.Algeria Slovenia USA Comment : Should be easy for England. 2nd place we might see some fight for it. Group D 1.Germany 2.Ghana Australia Serbia Comment : Aussie coming home early? MUHAHAHA! Group E 1.Netherlands 2.Denmark Cameroon Japan Commend : I really can't decide between 1st,2nd and 3rd. Cameroon might pull an upset and get 1st place! Group F 1.Italy 2.Paraguay Solvakia New Zealand Group G 1.Brazil 2.Portugal Ivory Coast North Korea Comment : 2nd place will be between Portugal and IC. Hugely depends whether CR9 will be fit or not. Group H 1.Spain 2.Chile Switzerland Honduras Comment : Given their current form Spain can easily top this one, 2nd place might be between Chile and Switzeland. |
