You really think so? I'd say Ivory Coast got the worst draw, stuck with both Brazil and Portugal (Both of whom I'd say are better then Germany). They are stuck with two real powerhouses.

I might even put Nigeria/Group B ahead of you, figuring that Greece is better then Serbia.


I'd also say that Italy got off easier then England.

Being a septic tank these days Mems (long time no see BTW) can you rate the USA team for us. To my knowledge us Aussies have never played them and I have certainly never seen them play. Are they a genuine contender or just lucky to be making up the numbers?

Spain in group H have the easiest group IMO. Spain are finally showing the form that their club teams have promised for so long ... my 'dark horse' to win the cup. :)

Exactly how hard is it too draw a cup? I mean just a few crayons, a sheet of paper, and some kids, presto, a cup of the world!

Are these prestigious private schools that will compete in this draw? OR, just run of the mill public sectors?

Speaking of the us team - I'd say they have evolved immensely the last ten years - but I'd still put them on the average european teams - not among the best ( Germany, Holland, England, Spain, Portugal ).

I'd rather say they are on same level as Denmark, Belgium, Serbia, Croatia ( a year back Croatia would have been in my top list in Europe ) Italy, France and Sweden.

They are above Greece, Ireland, Norway, Poland and well imho the rest of europe.

But they lack one thing immensely and that is the physique that european players aquire through a much harder program over the year.

My prediction follows.

What a bad draw from asian countries, I see each of them being last of their group. Getting 3rd place would be a bid achievement.
