ARAFAT, Saudi Arabia (AFP) – Iranians chanted death to America and Israel on Thursday as some 2.5 million Muslims, drying out after a day of torrential rains, continue their hajj pilgrimage and mass at the site of the prophet Mohammed's last sermon.

You'd figure that after so long they'd get tired of chanting 'death to america'. I know im tired of hearing it.

When you've been fighting a war for 10,000 years, you get very patient with your "death to..." chants.

The region, and the people who make up the region, regardless of religion or excuses. If you're talking about muslims, then yeah, only since about 743 AD, but the warfare goes back far longer than that.
