Patch OC status vs. HoW expansion -- sequencing
 

I've installed IWD to an older PC I'd put back together from leftovers in my shop and played some Arcanum on, and now I want to know if HoW contains at least the 1.06 patch, and if I should go ahead and add it from the start, or should I apply the 1.06 patch, play the OC, and after that, add the expansion ??

My memory is propably fuzzy, but I believe the chant is -- while you can enter the HoW at any time, YOU CAN'T GO BACK...until the HoW content is done. This means that if your party isn't ready for the HoW monsters, it will be tough going.

There is also an addon to HoW, called Trials of the Luremaster. I haven't played it yet, so I don't know how you get to that content..but I presume it's from within the HoW mod.

Install HOW then patch to 1.41. If you're going to add Trials of the Luremaster, then don't patch at all - TOTL patches to 1.42
