Can't become a RDD
 

Just started NWN2 again and created a 1/2 orc fighter. I took a level of sorcerer just so I could become a Red Dragon Disciple but now that my lore is eight I still can't become a RDD - is it a private club that does not allow green orcs in or is there some other reason?

far as I'm aware big green guys and gals can be RDDs. It's only classes like dwarven defender which impose limits.

Does your PC have a low INT that drops the adjusted lore score below 8 ?

Will check and get back to you but i think it is 8

Is it a case of I should have chosen sorcerer or bard first then a few levels of fighter? :(

order of class selection doesn't matter, though you usually pick the class with the highest pool of skill points as your first level.

Half orc runs the risk of an experience point penalty if you're not careful, since their favored class is Vinnie Barbarino...er barbarian :heee:

Btw, your character is at least level 6 ? Max skill level (ignoring cross class skills) is character level +3. So, for 8 lore you'd need 5 levels, plus the 6th for the RDD (4 fighter, 1 sorcerer, 1 RDD ?)

never seen a requirement for RDD that specifies alignment - should be fine.

Charisma is 12 (the skill for sorcerer or bard which is the prerequisite)
Intel is 10
wisdom is 8 (which may be the problem)

but nowhere can I find minimum stats for a RDD :(

Howdy Wellard,

Only requirements for the RDD are the single level of bard/sorcerer, and 8 lore.

Wisdom affects things such as divine (cleric, druid, etc) spell casting, and will saves.

When you go to level up your PC, you can select any class (even one 'greyed out') from the list and it'll tell you the requirements.

What's your character level at the moment, and are you getting a -20% experience point penalty for the half orc fighter/sorcerer multiclass ?

Make sure your BASE lore skill is 8 not the modified lore score after items or stat boosts. That's what is used to see if you satisfy the skill requirements. BTW, Lore is modified by Intelligence so your Wisdom of 8 should not affect it.

Otherwise Kaezedrin is correct about the requirements for RDDs:

Requirements
Class: Sorcerer or Bard
Skills: Lore 8

There are no other restrictions or requirements (alignment or level) except for the class and Base Lore Skill as mentioned above. THe alignment penalty that Kaz refers to should NOT be an issue.
