Hot keys are going to make me rampage into a killing frenzy one day...
 

<font color=skyblue>Sometimes when I am typing, I'll hit a keystroke combination that takes me out of the post I am making such as a backspace would do which completely wipes the unsaved post away, or sometimes in an email, a hotkey combo will send the message before I have finished writing.

I hate life. </font>

C'mon,,, there must be a way to disable macros until you need them. Research it.

I am pretty efficient in typing, and make as many/as few mistakes as anybody whose grown up typing on forums for the past I don't know how many years which has built up my speed and accuracy...but sometimes I miss a key and I don't know what it is...but it's definately under my left hand...and could be either the CTRL, Start button, or ALT. One of these plus whatever letter I am reaching for causes a catastrophe and I am usually going too fast to catch on to which buttons were hit by mistake. If anybody knows, Felix and I need in on it!</font>

I hear you... I feel your pain... save me from software that tries to help me...

I truly hate it when accidentally hitting the ESC key erases your entire post... like... right... nope, not now. Must'a been someplace else.

I always make it a point to disable the Accessibility functions... you know... hold down left-shift for eight seconds and it does this, right-ctrl for eight it does that. My personal hatred... left-shift + left-alt + printscreen equals high-visibility mode in the browser. I ain't THAT old yet!

Those, I know how to turn off. Others... not so much.

Oh yes, Larry, I DO know and I really hate that too! LOL You're typing along and then suddenly the screen area blanks and you aren't quite sure what you did. And yes, I think it happens with the left hand and little finger... so ctrl or the windows key or X and some other key? whatever it is... a POX on it! Fie! :D

I was out of line, and apologize. I know of no way to disable CTL and ALT functions until needed.

As to spam, let's talk post counts, take a deep breath, and say spam again.

I removed the Caps Lock, Alt, and Ctrl keys from the left side of my keyboard.

The worst is when you're typing and the Windows Update reminder telling you to restart your PC pops up and since you're typing you hit the space key, which automatically activates the restart now option...
