Four Years!
 

Wow, four years of me. myself, and I!

1. I lost my battle buddy!
2. I was placed on the retirement roster 1 Feb 2005!
3. I have been working for a DA contractor.
4. I have finished college (2008), graduating Cum Laude, while working, and utilizing my VA benefits, VOC-REHAB (30% disability)
5. I have received my CRSC (Combat Related Special Compensation) rating back, and received my first payment, 10 Feb 2009!
6. I have been denied service connected disability for my Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS).
7. I have been denied service connected disability for asthma because I had allergies when I joined the Army.
8. I watched as Eric Shinseki took the reins of the Army as chief of staff, and we have all been asking WTF since. Now he has the reins of the VA! Does anybody have a small plot of land in New Zealand?

Actually yes, i do have a small bit of land in New Zealand, although there is a house covering most of it...

And ironically, we are thinking of moving overseas ourselves, so the place is up for rent!

While i dont really understand a lot of what you said, it sounds pretty harsh. Graduating Cum Laude is not bad thogh is it?

I must agree with Captain O, you don't seem to be having too much luck.
People have said that our tool shed is about as inhospitable as it gets. I tend to disagree.

I'm sure it was all you! I mean it IS all about you, ya know! Were spousal unit and daughter element on vacation at this time? Just wondering.
Anyway, congratulations!! Get everything they allow Vets to get, we deserve it. USN(Ret) here!

Sounds like you had a rough road Felix
not sure what items 6 and 7 have to do
with the military but good luck with your future
plans.

Oh and you cannot get into NZ unless you
A. Have truck loads of cash
B. You have a critical skill set needed for their national effort.
C. You can somehow marry a Citizen

They are pretty discriminating. Toyed with the idea of relocating once

Well, I didnt actually go....not that I had the requisite fortune to qualify
..I guess I might have been able to get in on the early Tech bubble in the mid 90's.

While i have never looked at the things you need to come here, i think we focus also on people from the Pacific Islands. THere are more Cook Islanders living in Auckland than there are in the Cook Islands.

I personally would prefer they took people on the basis of skills etc, but i dont make the rules.

From what I was told that to move permanently to NZ you had to have a needed skill or have great personal wealth. This was back in the mid 90's though.
