Best weapons for Jaheira?
 

Clubs are so naff, scimitars that are good are hard to find, what do you equip her with?

Usually a scimitar or a staff.

Her starting proficiencies are so spread out that she can be fairly good at anything, but it takes forever to get there. Overall, I'd say she's best with a good Shield, good Sling, and your choice of Belm/Blackblood/Gnasher. Alternatively, hack her proficiencies a bit, download a mod or two, and give her a good Staff + good Longbow.

the 'hacking' that Six refers to can be easily done with shadowkeeper - download it, don't be afraid ;)

and to answer the question:

either spell chucking and archery -> sling and shield plus any one-handed melee weapon

or take advantage of ironskins and melee -> mainly dual-wielding belm + other scimitar or club

Hi everyone, I've been away for a long time but I have a BG1 (tutu) game going at the moment and thought I would post here anyway.

I have the classic problem of what to do about a weapon for Jaheira for the early game and where to spend my proficiency points. I might have known what to do in plain BG1 but Tutu changes things around. Any suggestions please.

Hmmm,,, there are no great clubs in BG1. I just get her the scimitar+1 as soon as I can.

Admittedly though, the forums are kinda merging. Noone really visits the BG I forum anymore.

Yes, I figured I'd be better off here in this existing thread.

But it's tough to find any scimitars in BG1, I think they are mostly in the TOTSC part, except the for the two I already sent on their way. It's not like it's a problem, I can work with what I have but planning ahead is part of the fun for npc development.

Forget scimitars and clubs (or, rather, Staff Maces), as they're far too heavily protected to be worth putting early weapon proficiencies into. Either go with Staff, or get slightly out of character and give her the Dagger of Venom.
