Fallout 3: System Specs Questions
 

I know there are a few older FO3 threads but my search didn't answer my questions. Thus, will my socket 939 PC run this game decently? I have read so many conflicting things about what system specs work or don't work I'd like to hear directly from IW people who actually play(ed) the game. Here's my hardware (again, this is a socket 939):

Athlon 3800+ dual core (2.0 GHz) -- I realize this might be a cause for bottlenecking
XP Pro w/SP2
2 Gigs of OCZ Platinum PC3200 RAM
7200 SATA hardrive
9600GT 512 mb DDR3 video card

* My LCD maximum resolution is 1280-x1024 which is where I like it anyway

You won't have any trouble with the game, but you might not be able to run it at maximum settings at 60+ fps.

That said, you can probably hit the 40s without much problem.

I really want to play this game on my PC in order to use nd create mods, but my gaming laptop is showing its age. I played Oblivion at decent settings but I'm most worried about the video card - it's an ati X1400. I don't care about running it at high or even medium settings - but would it run steadily on low settings?
