Quests

There's a great thread going on in the FRUA Yahoo list. It has pretty much everything you need to know about quests.

There's also been a new thread started that are new and different ways to use quests in FRUA/DC to keep tabs of things.

Re: Quests

Well, to contribute something serious to this thread: I am actually trying to simplify the event-based-combat by using quests (similar to an approach suggested by ST before).
I still doubt that I will be able to write a tutorial for this, but I will post a graphic soon indicating what the event-tree has to look like (in my opinion).

Re: Quests

Working with events/quests ARE a bit difficult I guess... One just has to spend some time fiddling with it, but...

Re: Quests

Using the above links and the others that I've provided for the UANL articles about quests, I think it is all covered, with examples. Sometime in the next year, I may compile them all together and reword slightly to make a 'Quest Guide' for DC.

Re: Quests

With the internet downtime, and since there is NOBODY hiring right now, I've been finishing up my entry to the contest that came and went. I figure if I have a working demo, I can re-write the designers guide with concrete examples listed from the mod. This would also include examples for quests and looping with quests. The demo looks as tho its going to be a 2 dungeon mod, and will be simpe enough to finish; but getting small projects done is how you go on to bigger (epic) mods.

ST
ps, Hi everyone!!!
