I remember last time I played BG2 there was a chance to talk to the mad men in asylum so get a note from one of them if you talk him too many times (except if I'm wrong).

This time, I said to the captain that I prefer the surface way (he did not even gave me his sword!) and he took me out.
I went back in but there is nobody there to talk to.

I hate it when it happens
