I just talked with a friend of mine I talk to on the internet. He is a lawyer in NYC near the World Trade Center. His secretary was killed(over there on business I assume), along with over 70 people who were his associates/business partners in another company. I have been really lucky. I only know a few people that live in New York and they all came out ok. None of them were near the Trade Center, but they saw the explosion though.
