At this time you can google on Volcano Cam and see the steam venting out.

Sure has been in the news alot. They say it is just going to be a little puff compared to the one in 1980. Thank god. :D

It's on the news right now...interesting stuff...I'm glad this one isn't going to be as bad!

WOW! how much force would it take to make the dome of a MOUNTAIN move upward an inch and a half?????

I guess it was geological bean soup. Seems over for now.

Quick someone throw a virgin into it.

Just a little burp! :D

I'm surprised at how much news coverage it got though considering the insignificance of it.

Kakero 10-01-2004 09:14 PM

Seems to be over ( duh ) . File is unavailable open googling.

its not insignificant! they dont really know everything about them; its like hurricanes - it might kill you, it might not.
hopefully it wont be like the one that blotted out the sun for almost the entire north american continent thousands of years ago.

I didn't necessarily mean that it wasn't scientificaly important, however the size the eruption as a news story is somewhat insignificant considering what is happening else where around the world. I think it got even more coverage than the Presedential Debate!

Of course it deserved more coverage than the presidential debate, the planet was basically belching. when she speaks, everyone should shut up and pay attention, even if it was only a small eruption.

but anyone ever think about how catastrophic it would be if Mtn. Fuji erupted?
