If you get off on the wrong foot with one the Morrowind denizens, what's the best way to get back in good graces? I recently made an error in judgement that may prove costly, depriving me of a truly precious treasure. Is there the equivelant of a flower shop anywhere? Or is it more of the prove-your-worth by patient wooing to convince them you're worthy of trust/friendship/whatever...

Try bribing them, it always work for me.

drop two 10's then 2 hundreds early in the game and your good should be in the 70's if you dropped it too zero. And working on your people skills helps to. Join some merchant guilds they can train you in that.
