I cant figure out how to kill these stupid things! Everytime I come close, they drain me and i die!

The Shadowmaster gives you an Amulet of Power, which amongst other things has the ability to protect a character from level drain. Equip it on a fighter and smash them to pieces.

Another thing you can do is cast the cleric spell Negative Plane Protection on your fighters, but keep in mind this spell has an incredibly short duration.

Other options would be to make it more difficult to hit you through the use of defensive spells.

Actually, I think only mages can use the Amulet of Power. But, use the Negative Plane protection spells Trux mentioned, and also buy some restoration scrolls to "refresh" between battles.

Or, if they piss you off that much, start the game as an Undead Hunter and never worry about freaking level drain again http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Level Drain is horrible if you are encountering it for the frst time. Backstab and run! Let archers pepper them. Don't get close.
A Cleric with the Lesser Restoration spell can be a big help in battle- quick fix to those hurt.
