Cloudy's Cafe, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Previous Cafe is here
Cloudy's Cafe

Come in, be welcome, be comfortable, be yourself

Welcome to Cloudy's Cafe, a place to have a cup of coffee or a good
darjeeling and the finest in conversation and camaraderie.

The proprietor asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:

this is a real conversation zone, not a role-play zone

* no flaming; if you disagree with a viewpoint expressed by any patron, please do so in a civil manner

* any topic is fair game, but keep posts to the standards that Ziroc has set for the entire forum, please (ie: foul language is not appropriate and things should be suitable for all audiences)
-a side note from Cloudy: I see this as a place for those short
conversations about a new baby or the latest soccer fiasco, not for things that are big enough to warrant their own threads, by all means give those things the space they need and post separately!

* Please, no one word or smiley posts (Ziroc has declared them 'real spam' and the proprietor doesn't want the reputuation of "good spam" to suffer!)

* do feel free to be serious or silly and enjoy the company of others while you are here. By all means POST if you have something to say, even to start another topic , we can handle multiple chats, we're a CAFE!!! But be courteous and don't disrupt a conversation just to disrupt it.

Come on in! The bar is stocked with coffees, teas, juices and waters from around the world. And purple napkins, of course!

The lighting is low, the golden oak counters and tables glow with inviting warmth. Near the window, the lighting is brighter, as comfy, plush leather armchairs wait for those who'd like to read a book while relaxing to music or just lazily watch the world go by.

Hey all! Hope we have enough candy for tomorrow! The weather is going to be reasonable nice and it's a Friday, so I expect we'll see lots of trick or treaters!

Anybody going to dress up their pets, maybe like this?

Trick or treat has really taken off down here in the last few years - would not let my kids do it though - there is usually a little party or something going on where they can dress up and mess around more safely.

We don't do Halloween much in our neighborhood. Got a bag of candy to hand out last year, and had all of one child show up.

But our church does a Trunk or Treat event. We've been doing it for like 6-7 years now and always get a good turnout. People bring their cars to the church parkinglot, decorate them, and the kids have a safe place to dress up and collect candy.

Only concern for me is scattered showers are forecast all day tomorrow. Hopefully it can hold off between 5pm and 8pm.

Happy Halloween, all! It's a double celebration here... my son's birthday is also tomorrow, so I'm flying home as quickly as I can to celebrate. No dressing up the dog, but the kids will be dressed. And I might just sneak something on as well... or not :heee:

We'll have trick or treating around the neighborhood, then some local friends over for cake and ice cream. Then off Saturday to Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor water park / hotel, for my son's birthday. He wanted that instead of a party... I think it's cheaper... :D

We usually get 5 kids, or less on the court. There are 2 boys here now, and I'm pretty sure they'll be around. I got some 3 year old tootsie pops for them...

Mr Life-of-the-party strikes again... :D

Just remember... they can find eggs, and people who know how to use them...

Nobody knows the difference between new & 3 years tootsie pops. How long do you think they're sitting around before they get on the shelf...?
