He's a wuss, and I really think the only way to beef him up is to cheat http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif

ie Shadowkeeper

No! Not really! I have discovered that he has a lot of uses! Although his fighting skills are not one of his really really good stuff...

Any suggestions on how I can beef him up besides cheating! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

Wait there is that belt of constitution isn't there?

maybe that would work...I left him waiting in the theater after the first time he died from a bandit attack http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/frown.gif, reloaded and sent him packing.

*cough* *cough*

Let it be known that I have never used that tiefling because he steals my Aerie... ... http://www.plauder-smilies.de/angryfire.gif

However, I am a big fan of his kit, Blade.

The trick is, not to use him as a melee tank, but as a ranged dual-wielder.

Here's what you do with him... ... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...s/coollook.gif

Make sure he has Stoneskin on at all times, also, make sure he has Melf's Minute Meteors casted at all times. Put some nice weapon he is proficient with, in his off-hand. Celestial Fury is one very good option.

He now has 5 attacks per round.

During battles, cast Misled( if you can), then activate Offensive Spin.

He now has 6 attacks per round, and all hits will do maximum damage.

If you have casted Misled, make the illusion sing the Bard Song for additional combat bonuses to the whole party.

The attacks are like this, each round, the really cheesy part is that your off-hand weapon will transform into a ranged attack.

Melf's Minute Meteors, 1st attack,
Melf's Minute Meteors, 2nd attack,
Celestial Fury, 3rd attack
Melf's Minute Meteors, 4th attack,
Melf's Minute Meteors, 5th attack,
Celestial Fury, 6th attack

So just memortise plenty of Melf's Minute Meteors for him, and you are set. One MMM should last you for about 2 combats.

i don't think haer'dalis can ever be a "tank", per se, but i do think he is one of the most underestimated characters in the game. by the end of BG II, and especially in ToB, he can be an immensely kickass character. keep him ranged and first, and then ease him in close combat as he gets higher in level. he can't be a tank because he is multi-faceted in his being a blade. however, he can serve you very well in other ways/techniques........and offensive spin is an excellent ability!

Girdle of fortitude + stoneskin can toughen anyone up.
