Why does this not work for bows? A bows classification says 2H weapon. so what gives. Man that cheesed me off. I almost start over my game when I discovered this annoyance.

The 2H weapon ability refers to melee weapons only. Bows and crossbows have their own ability score.

I believe all 4 of the bonus proficiencies apply only to melee weapons or shield if im not mistaken.
2 handed weapons don't work on bows (there aren't any 1 handed bow weapons you can use)
dual weapons is melee only
single weapon and weapon/shield I think specifies melee weapons only (not slings, etc) even though you can get the shield bonus by using a shield and a sling.
