What is the big deal with Direct linking anyways??

IIRC it sucks up bandwith by view the image on their server without people actually visiting their site. Something people don't like too much. Or I could be way off base. Actually it could also just be about the principle of getting permission from the site's owner.

Well for businesses it's the whole "not looking at their website and missing all their irresistable offers" thing
