IWD and IWD2 patches/fixpacks/mods needed

I'm installing IWD and IWD2 onto a laptop for the first time.

The laptop is older and runs windows 7.

Please let me know what fixes and patches I need, and recommend some mods too.

If you can tell me where to download these, that would help a lot too.

You didn't specify whether you are reloading an older retail version or are loading a newer digital version from Steam or GoG, so installation may vary.

At the very least you will want the Trial of the Luremaster expansion. Took me a while to find it online but it's out there.
