All right, I give up. I'm in the asylum, on top of the stairs, but I can't figure out which way to jump? Straight? diagonal right, or am I supposed to jump over into the water arounc the corner.
Also, the alternative of getting out of thw water before the bridge going up the hill, how do you get out of the water.

long ways back for me but I dont remember having to do any jumping I yhink there is am underwater passage I swam through and there were steps or a ramp to get out of the water

Head back to Scabban's room and locate the switch on the wall. The switch/lever opens a water passage in Scabban's room. Jump in and swim to the tomb of heros. You need to visit there and the exit from this madness is there as well!
