Okay I downloaded a program, a lovely internet based program. I was using it and my computer crashed, disconnecting and messing up. Started up and the program wouldnt load. No error messages, it's just nothing happened. Nothing. Hmmmm. I uninstalled, tried again, and same problem. Uninstalled, tried removing every trace of it, all from the registry, installed again. Same problem.. What can I do?

It might help if you told us what the program is.

Well the program is Limewire. I purposely missed out what program it is because of Ironworks frowning nature on these types and such.

What I heard about this is that as long as you don't talk about what is being shared it is ok to discuss.

Well any P2P program that says its the "The Fastest P2P File Sharing Program on the Planet" has to be crap, or have plenty of spyware and viruses...
I suggest doing a virus scan and looking at the directories of some of the viruses (if there are any) I suppose there might be parts of the program littered around your computer.

Well put it this way, I know freinds who use it and it works fine.

I used it for about 10 minutes before my computer crashed, and within that space, lets just say I got alot of good things done. It worked amazingly.

hmm, have u tried getting rid of the syp/ad ware? and virus? that usually does it for me, install , and then run adaware amd sypbot, and after that it should work fine, and also make sure u have the latest def file for adaware ^^

System restore did the job. With a re-install.

Well its not Limewire itself because I had it for a while and it ran perfectly.
