So now that the greatest sporting event in the world has come to an end for another 4 years, who did you actually believe would win? I found it suprising that a lot of the soccer superpowers bowed out early in the competition. I myself was hoping that England would win as they haven't won it since 1966, but I always thought Brazil would win. What team did you pick?

*edit* Sorry to all those Germany fans out there, Hey Germany hosts the cup in 4 years so something to look foward to.

I didn't have an opinion until the quarter finals, when I had a hunch the Brazil would win after I saw them play against England (although I was rooting for England then).

What I will always remember this World Cup for were the shock exits by some of the big names in international soccer (France, Argentina, Italy) and the unexpected performances of the dark horses (Senegal, Turkey, South Korea, USA).

I rooted for England, Denmark and Mexico respectively.

China, Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Saudi Arabia! :D

I really thought Argentina was gonna win this one, and if not them, then France. Strangely enough both teams didn't even make it through the first round ! [img]graemlins/1dizzy.gif[/img]

South Korea.

I decided to root for Argentina... Okey let the mocking begin... :rolleyes:

I also thought Argentina was going to breeze through this one, with Portugal coming close. I can't belive I was that stupid.

Anyway, Turkey gets my vote for favourite team for this WC.
