When you go through a list of threads on this or another board, what makes you decide which one you'll read and maybe answer? Is it the name of the thread or are you more influenced by who started the thread? I'll tell you why I ask this after I get some answers http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

i go by the color of the thread name. here, if its brown ill click on it if it has more replies than i remember. of any part of it is yellow ill click on it. but if the name is lame or something,i usually try to avoid it.

It's simple. Once the Planet is hurt, it gathers Spirit Energy to heal the injury. The amount of energy gathered depends on the size of the injury...What would happen if there was an injury that threatened the very life of the Planet? Think how much energy would be gathered! Ha, ha, ha. And at the center of that injury, wil be me. All that boundless energy will be mine. By merging with the energy of the Planet, I will be come a new life form, a new existence. Melding with the Planet, I will cease to exist as I am now. Only to be reborn as a 'God' to rule over every living soul.

I go for the title of the thread usually, but a lot of nights I end up clicking on them all no matter what they say http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

Btw, your "been buggin me" and "Please Answer" in this thread's title drew me in! http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif

LOL, my, some folks must miss good stuff! I go by title mostly. Sometimes name of originator if the title is meaningless to me. And sometimes, like LadyZ, I just point and click. You can be pleasantly surprised that way. Reading a thread you might have left untouched and finding that it's very interesting.

OK OK, the reason I ask this is that many many times I have seen what are IMO stupid, pointless threads get like 10 pages of discussion and answers and meaningful, useful threads get like 1 or 2 replies. It seems to me that most people are influenced firstly by who started the thread, for example, almost everyone reads a thread started by a moderator even if it is just crap. Only secondly are they influenced by the title. Personally, I judge by the title whether to check it out and then if I reply, I'll always check back later to see what else was said, maybe to my reply. Only after this do I worry about who started the thread. I don't usually care how many answers it's got, even if it's got 10 pages I jump in anyway http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Everyone please carry on answering, it's interesting to see what makes ppl read a thread and what puts them off.

I read tea leaves, flip coins, and interpret chicken entrails to decide which threads to look at. In this instance, it was a coin flip that came up heads.
