Actualy, this has nothing to do with painting. I recently bought the "Knights of Minas Tirith" box set, and just opened it tonight...

Well, I tried to glue the spears on the knights, to no avail. The glue just won't stick! Odd thing is, it worked perfectly fine on my "Gaurds of the Fountain Court" set I had glued and painted only hours before!

Any help on getting it to stick?

Thanks to any and all help :D

I painted a miniature or a hundred in bygone days. Most started out in one piece, but a few needed epoxy. Let's start with...are they pewter? Plastic?

When useing super glue you've got to keep oil and grease off the parts your joining, and only use a very small ammount of glue.

If you turn and squeeze the tube gently so you get a small mound of glue at the nozzel, apply the surface to be glued to the nozzel then gently release the pressure the excess glue should be sucked back into the tube, leaving you with just enough glue to get the job done.

I tend to file the surfaces I'm gluing together a little so they sit flat aganst each other more, it also helps keep them clean so there's nothing to stop the glue working.
