I've recently started a new game with an Assassin character and intend taking him through SoA/ToB, I'm probably going to use him in a party of two people... him and Aerie (romance/want to nick her holy symbol/don't like wasting all of the spells I find on my travels...).

This means that I don't really care about any other characters. To prove this I witnessed a 4 hour long epic battle between [EDIT]Imoen[/EDIT] and Improved Illich and co.

She wouldnt die, and my party was out of sight - so her auto-death/run away script could never kick in. I changed her script to warrior and watched the 'action'.

She was so bad she needed a critical to hit the wardogs :D

Made me smile though, she persevered though and I reaped the rewards.

My character is obviously neutral evil.

Out of interest how did you get Aerie with Imoen's Belt in Irenicus' dungeon?

Aerie wouldn't have a run away script anyway.

Aerie? In Irenicus' dungeon? Did you CLUA/SK her in?

Is this 4 game hours or 4 real hours? If the latter, buddy, you have too much time to kill...

The first run through Illyich did take me about 5 hours irl. It's not such a big thing.

That's the first time I've heard about anyone using Imoen's Belt to their own advantage.

Will the cheese never stop.

I always figured the belt had to have some kind of a purpose, you may as well strap it onto your Pc to ensure the Ultimate Cheese

have a question...
why do we install tactics and other improved mods? if we're going to beat all those improved monsters with cheese, why install the mods to begin with?

That is not everyone's idea to begin with, some just experiment with the mods to find new tactics to beat the beasts. Some tactics, unfortunately include cheese.
