Sorry for posting again so early but I have another question that sliped my mind before.
Do the artifact spells(Fire,Spirit, ect.)have different things that they do? I thought that I saw that Spirit did Hit a Toughness or something like that. ()xxxxx{}:::::::::::::::> WizardMen [This message has been edited by WizardMen (edited 05-31-2001).] |
Yes - these all add different attibutes to items when you enchant them.
Not sure if we have a brief recap on that in the Best Tips thread - there's a good link for information enchanting and blessing - I'll bump it up! Wyv |

It's from the "RudeDawg, curious questions" - thread
Fallager As a solo ranger, RudeDawg, the only thing you'll be able to "bless" is the Artifact of Vine, which adds Toughness (unbreakability) to an item. You have to get the Cabalism trait (available at Temple Guild level 4) and then start training in "Blessings" skill. Each skill level lets you place an additional blessing on your armor/weapon/item. For others: depending on your Artifacts skills, you can place various blessings. Artifact of Fiend lets you enhance how much damage a weapon does. Artifact of Spirit lets you bless weapons and items with bonuses to Hit and armor and items with Regeneration bonuses. Artifact of Stone lets you enhance armor and items with AC bonuses, and Artifact of Vine lets you add toughness (durability) to an item. The best ones, IMO, are the Artifact of Fiend and the Artifact of Spirit for weapons, and the Artifact of Stone for armor. -Sazerac |
Each one does have a different effect, one for Blessing and one for Enchanting. Here are the ones I know:
Spirit Bless - Hit for weapon and some accesory equipment; Regenerate for armor Fiend Bless - Damage for weapons; AC for Armor Vine Bless - Toughness for anything Fiend Enchant - Protection from Magic for Armor; Nothing for Weapons Sun Enchant - Flamestrike for Weapons; Protection from fire for Armor Moon Enchant - Iceball for Weapons; Protection from Cold for Armor Stone Enchant - Zap for Weapons; Nothing for Armor I think that's all of them. If I'm wrong on any of these, someone PLEASE correct me. I hate giving wrong info to people and screwing them up. I hope this was helpful. -Jafin |

I also thought it was Artifact of Stone, rather than Artifact of Fiend, that blessed armor with AC bonus, but I'm not sure on that one. AFAIK, Artifact of Fiend is only used to bless weapons with Damage, but, IMO, that makes it worth the spell. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif -Sazerac |
From my experiences, I believe that you need BOTH
Artifact of Fiend and Artifact of Stone to Bless AC. Bear |
