Once u kill him, a mage will eventually come up takin his items back. So all you really get is XP. Wait! i thought this up, put all the items in a barrel!!!!! then u keep em, or pause the game when the mage comes, and drop em.....

I fought him in BG1 and man was he rough, I barely made it. BG2 has basically fixed it so you can't keep the stuff. I hung back on the second tomb crawl and let some of his party get smoked. I picked up their equipment, but as soon as I left that annoying little man came to claim their gear.

yeah, I deleted him from the equation for no better reason than just watch him die...

my character's name was Artemis Entreri, assasin dual fighter at level 13

it was a solo game (started from scratch, so don't blame me cheat), so one on five

Drizzt is a wuss, you loose his items to some guy shortly after, but thats oky, by that point in the game, your own will probablly be better, and his party is worth decent XP if I remember correctly, but not near like dragons, demi-liches and those sort of tings.
