ok, im in the drow city, and im trying to enter the tower that has the mages on it, you know, as you go to the temple of lollth. question is, it says that you cant get into it without a key or some nonsense, does anyone know what, where, or IF it exists?

Yes, you need a magic rope, which a drow will try to sell you, during the temple quests (for the matron mother). You can either buy it, or threaten him and get it (won't make any difference).
