OK, I think I have pretty much been all over God's green earth looking for the Sphinx/Anephas' Shrine. Where is it? I've got the lich's staff and have killed Ramakamil but cannot seem to find this place. I see it on the map but can't get to it. Help please before I have a nervous breakdown.

Also, apparently your ship gets stuck near Talrik's hangout, is this pretty much always true?

Lastly, how does Spirit Shield work? I got my Monk to train in it and he's only wearing robes (magic robes but robes nonetheless) and some rings, etc and he doesn't seem to get an AC bonus. I've tried taking everything off him and seeing - no luck.

From the landing point on the Enchanted Isle follow the sandy path north, take the left (west) fork until you hit water. Swim north and then curve west to reach the large sandy area. Head south to the Temple. Here's a link (spoiler).

Yes, it's common to get stuck near Talrik. If you have the Portal and Teleport spells you can create a portal in deeper water, swim back to your ship, and teleport it off the reef to the portal location.
