I got to the underground temple thing where the guardians just dont care about anything. I go into the temple and there is that mental projection thingy that looks like a deamon. I tried killing the guardians since I thought that somehow it was them unconciously making that thing with their minds or something but that didnt work, and it just wont die no matter how many times I hit it. I know there is something you gotta do but what? I searched the flame and got the loot and even led the deamon thing up to the altar area since it said that it looked like it was a holy area. So what next?

P.S. When I went to the bridge to get to this section, a guardian voice suddenly opened up a dialog box and asked me to choose an answer. Answer to WHAT?? It never asked me a question! Im suddenly supposed to answer a riddle that I never even heard. I figured out the answer by trial and LOTS of error and LOTS of reloading before I got the correct sequence of correct answers. Did I miss something somewhere where you actually read the answer?

PPS. I may be doing this thing in a wacky order. First I went to Gaal and said I'd get him his rod. Then I went and the other faction said not to do that but to bring them the rod and they would tell me how to steal the 2nd part of the rod away from the beholder. I opened the sarcophagus ANYWAY and killed the lich and got the golden bones. Now Im kinda playing both sides I guess.. any suggestion on how I should really go about this since Im really working for the church(the 3rd side in all this hehe)

Its a tough one, I know... Took me a while to figure it out...

You need to use a HEAL spell(Anything, Cure Light Wounds, Serious, Lay On Hands, whatever) on the Demon to kill it. Leave the followers alone, they are freaky but arent bad.
