Some pretty crazy lookin' fish.

I hope I didn't do a bad by posting too much stuff. If so, my dear Mods' please edit. Thanks

Hate to break it to ya, hon, but when I went looking for a story to identify a couple of the fish I'm not familiar with I came up with this:

Apparent Hoax

Still...those are some FREAKY fish. ;)

Dace De'Briago 01-27-2005 08:44 PM

Some of those are very interesting.

Not seen any of them on Rex Hunt's show mind ;)

I quite like the eel/fish on the first pic and the squidipus fish on the third.

Arledrian 01-27-2005 09:02 PM

Hoax or not, I think there's still countless types of fish and marine wildlife out there that we've never seen or heard of before. We know so little about the deep ocean. I wouldn't doubt that the tsunami brought up some very interesting things.

Kestrel Daystar 01-27-2005 09:02 PM

Aww, that third pic fish is cute

And lets see what snopes has to say!

I had seen some of these pics long time ago.

Harkoliar 01-27-2005 09:33 PM

3rd pic looked like a platapus hehe

Ladyzekke 01-27-2005 09:37 PM

I liked the spiked many-legged crab LOL! Oh and the one below it too, reminds me of some monsters I've killed in RPGs. :D

Cool pictures LOL, don't care if they are real or not. Although I agree with Arledrian, there are many things living in the oceans that we know nothing about, as technology can go only so far under water. Our governments spend so much on exploring space, and I think and wonder if that money, and effort, were put into the oceans, what would we find? Our planet contains many things that can end up being helpful to us humans, I think we need to explore and conquer all nitches in our own planet before we look towards others, especially since said others (planets) are pretty much barren. Such a plethora of life unexplored in our own oceans.

Kakero 01-27-2005 10:49 PM

Mmmmmm...I wonder if those things taste good. :D

The Hierophant 01-28-2005 12:06 AM

Well, even if they wern't washed up in the tsunami, they are still real creatures, and are still amazing to look at

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 01-28-2005 05:40 AM

When I saw Titanica they filned creatures like that and that was 12000 feet down. I just got those pics from afriend last night. If it is a hoax, why bother?

The 4th one reminds me a bit of Johnny! He can be a bit crabby when he's sober. :D

Amazing creatures no matter what parts of the ocean they emerged from!
Now I know why I get the creeps when swimming at beaches that aren't crystal clear LOL.

Sythe 01-28-2005 06:25 PM

Johnny sober is like me bashing my Xbox with a baseball bat.

J/King with you johnny You are still cool even when you are sober.
