I heard many a time that Glacias can be made friendly and even talked to but I never managed to achieve it. As I'm in the keep right now I got curious again. Is it in fact possible and if so: "HOW??"
I tried not touching anythign in the keep, clearing it first (including TorGal). I tried dispel magic, remove magic, domination followed by dispel magic, domination waiting to run out. He never turns blue. So is it possible in a normal unmodded game and what are the exact requirements for it.

You need the Ring Of Earth Control.

The Ring of Human Influence and Charm Person/Mammal works too. Although I just wait out the duration instead of dispelling it.

Yeah that's how I do it use the ring of earth control and then wait for a while until he talks [img]smile.gif[/img]

Even Minsc's Charm Animal ability works.

It's not that you just need a 'charm' spell... this problem is caused by a bug. See, the game needs you to counter-charm Glaicas to break the spell placed over him. Thing is, it doesn't take into account that when you charm him, he becomes charmed (d'uh) and so he cannot be talked to. What you need is a charm spell that does not work on humans - so, Charm Animal, Charm Elemental, etc, etc. This will not charm Glaicas but will trick the computer into thinking that you've broken his enchantment. Weird, no?

So that's why I never got it to work. I tried Charm, Dire Charm, Domination (worked best), Mental Domination to no avail. Once the spell expired he'd be hostile again.

What does happen if Glacias is saved and you own the keep?
