I sail to the temple which have a monster guarding it and it
asking me 3 easy questions then disappeared, after that I found
the entry was locked and saw some sand on the ground, I can't do anything
about the sand and can't get in the temple, can anyone tell me how to get
in?

By the way, where to find the quest item for Promotion to Ranger and
what is the fastest way to go back to the first village from the port???

Use the Lich's Staff on the lock of Anephas' Temple to enter.

You could have found a raptors egg on the west bank of the river between the oracle's cave and nymph lake but I'm sure you don't want to travel all the way back there now! AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO!! On the far side of Anephas' tomb you will start encountering more raptors and get their eggs to satisfy your quest! (yay)

What is the fastest way to get back to Valeia?? There is no fast way. You can by pass going through the SPire by jumping off the ledge but the rest of the way is just slogging across the countryside.
