What do I do with the Leprechaun? Is it something that has to be done?

Have you gotten the quest from the Thieves' guild yet? He wants you to prove his existence.

In short, no, there's nothing you can do with him right now other than ignore him (or if you're really quick, slay him). Later, you'll find something that will prove his existence.

Haven't played the game since December, so I will have to check on the Thieve's guild thing. What do you get to prove his existence? I may already have it. Also, how do you get to the lost sea without doing the tree-hopping bit?

1) SPOILER ALERT!!

You need the Stone of Clover, found in the same area as the Temple of Isis (where you encounter Kerah). Swim up and look in the wilderness surrounding it.

2) To LEGITIMATELY get to the Lost Sea area, you have to complete the Shrine of Anephas. Once you've resurrected Lord Anephas, he'll open the back door and let you out. Mention "Portal" to him...that's the key word.
