In the umar hills temple ruins, there is this cave with a werewolf ( or wolfwere, I'm not sure ). what is it there for?

If you go talk to the werewolf, she tells you that her pack has been turned into shadows. She wants revenge against the shadow lord so she will 'help' you a little when you travel to the ruin entrance. It doesn't really help all that much if I remember. She tells you it is a trap or something and all these shadows pop out. You touch this large crystal and they are all dispelled.
