Lioness 11-11-2001 10:34 AM

Maybe spoilers:

1) when should I go to Galean and/or Bodhi? I still have teh Trademeet, Windspear Hills, Cult of the Unseeing Eye, and Haer;Dalis quests to do.

2) what do I do with teh Bridge District murders? I have teh beries and stuff, and have gone into all teh houses, I think. I still have no idea how to finds teh culprit.

3) Imoen vs. nalia? Keldorn vs. Valygar or Minsc? My current party is:

me(kensai)
Minsc
Valygar
Jaheira
jan
Aerie

Is Jaheira enough cleric if I get rid of Aerie? Should I take Jan and Nalia or Imoen, or Imoen and Nalia? Who's the best tank? (I don't want to lose Minsc, though) Is Haer'Dalis valuable?

agggh, so many questions! Thanx in advance.

1) Go to Gaelan or Bodhi once you've completed all of the side-quests you can find-

2) If you have the berries, the hide and the bark, show them to the prostitute and either give the evidence to the guard that talked to you when you first entered the Bridge District or confront the Tanner with it.

Lioness 11-11-2001 10:53 AM

I have the berries and the bark, where do you get teh hide from?

Neb 11-11-2001 10:54 AM

There is a beggar, called Old Rampah, he is north of the place with the traders and the prostitute, talk to him and offer him some money for what he has, he will give you the hide.

Mitro Jellywadder 11-11-2001 10:55 AM

There is an old beggar just north of where you got the berries and stuff from. Grumpah (something like that) will haggle with ya, and you get a free meal out of the deal. :D

BTW,

You don't have to pay him anything.

Edit
*Dang, I've been Nebulized by a minute*

Thanx, I got it!

Lioness 11-11-2001 11:23 AM

Ok, spoiler
.
.
.
I killed the thugs etc. on the two lower levels of the tanners house. The tanner and his magey friend disappeared, now should I go talk to the guard near the entrance?

Mitro Jellywadder 11-11-2001 11:36 AM

Yes. He'll give ya more experience.

Lioness 11-11-2001 11:38 AM

Thanx. ;) One quest down, a billion more to go. :D

Lioness 11-11-2001 11:43 AM

Ok, here are the party members I'm definitely keeping:

me
Minsc
Jaheira

Should I go get Nalia in place of Aerie or Jan? I don't have Imoen back yet, but I am buying scrolls and want to buy them for someone I'm gonna keep.

Neb 11-11-2001 11:45 AM

Jan is THE best NPC thief in the game, unless you play a thief or thief kit yourself, keep him, here is the party I would suggest:

You
Minsc
Jaheira
Jan
Mazzy(Maybe switch for Keldorn.)
Aerie

The quest is hardly finished, you can expect to hear from them in the future.

Mitro Jellywadder 11-11-2001 11:56 AM

"Should I go get Nalia in place of Aerie or Jan?"

Nalia levels up faster than either of the other two you listed. Jan is more useful if you need a thief, as well as a mage. I would take Nalia if you have the thief covered. Jaheira is a good enough healer that you shouldn't need Whiney...err...Aerie. :D

Yeah, I figured that. :D

Barloc 11-11-2001 02:50 PM

I would...

You - fighter (up front)
Minsc - fighter
Jaheira - Fighter + druid spells
Aerie - Cleric + mage
Jan - Thief + mage
Imoen - Mage

I got one like this, so that i can have 3 front guys, half a theif and cleric (good enough) and one full mage.

That's purty good, I don't like using Jaheira as fighter though, I'd rather have Keldorn or Valygar(???) as my third fighter, adn use Jaheira instead of Aerie as cleric. One last question: Nalia vs. Imoen(when I get her back) and (ok, 2) Keldorn vs. Valygar vs. Mainsc(top 2)?

Thanx.

Barloc 11-11-2001 02:57 PM

or you could have nalia (better mage and right at the beginning)

Lioness 11-11-2001 03:31 PM

I'm doing the graveyard quest with teh guy in red. I've looked over the Bridge District, but can't find him. Is he in one of teh houses?

Mitro Jellywadder 11-11-2001 03:39 PM

Nalia is still the best mage outside of Edwin.

The guy in Red is down near the Delosar Inn. He's the one in bright red. :D

Imoen is not a full mage by the way.

Barloc 11-11-2001 05:08 PM

yea your right, but i meant advancement

Dundee Slaytern 11-11-2001 07:57 PM

Imoen can be considered a full Generalist Mage, she can attain level 17 under the SoA Xp cap and the maximum level of 31 under the ToB Xp cap. This is why I feel pure Generalist Mages are a waste, when they can dual from a Fighter or a Thief and still get all their Mage spells anyway.

Speaking from a powergamer's point of view of course. ;)
