Is a "flop" the same thing as a hertz? I wouldn't think it was...but I'm no computer expert...

flop == floating point operation

So 42.7 teraflops == 42.7 trillion floating point operations per second... of course a flop is architecture dependent, so the number doesn't really mean that much...

... but when do benchmarks ever? :rolleyes:
