With all the 'interesting' ways to create super characters, I am curious to know the following .....

1. If all your attributes are 18 ( or greater ) what happens when you go up in level? Does the game just give you hit points, and no more attribute points, or does something nasty happen - like a game crash coz you have points to spend but no attribute that you can raise?

2. A similar question for skills. Is it possible to max out all your skills? Has anyone found out what happens if you go up in level, and have skill points you can't use?

The maximum you can raise attributes on level up is 18, the maximum you can train is 19, the maximum by ankh or invokable item is 24. If you are 18 or above, then on level up it skips straight to the skill screen (no reward). In regard to skills, the simple solution is learn something else at one of the guilds - you shouldn't run out of things to learn.

Thanks and praise to thee.

Am going to start all over again with brand new characters after I found out that my monk ( ex priest ) can't get enough skill in Vinecraft to pick up level 7 spells. ( Grrrr ) Guess I changed roles a bit too early !!

Ah well, at least the 500,000 gp I'll bring over from the previous party will soften the blow a bit ..

From what I have heard from other postings:

1. If all your stats are 18+ you are not given any attribute points when
you level up but you receive skill and hit points.

2. If all your skills that fit on the screen are maxed out and you level
up then you are in trouble. You will have a bunch of skill points to spend
but nowhere to spend them and the game won't let you go on until they're
spent. Oops. It happened to someone running a solo character.

@Davros: You can train to 20 not to 19.
The skill problem: Do not train your magic schools above 7 except for having a serious reason to do so. This gives you enough room for "unwanted" skill points.

Sorry my good friend of Boktor (ie Radek), it's been a while since I played (don't tell Wyv) and I think you are right (which makes me..... http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/FRblush.gif ) about training to 20 - I remember that you can train to one higher than it thinks it should let you http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif.

Traute's right, Davros. Jafin clued me into it just the other day, and I tried it and it worked (training to 20).
