I know there are a few other sysadmins out there so thought I would toss the question out here

Going to install the .Net framework on a couple servers here at work and wondered if anyone else out there has and if there are any gotchas.

Well I'm not a Sysadmin (Project Engineer) but I installed a late beta version with Visual Studio .NET and it COULD NOT be uninstalled, period. I assume they've resolved this but at the time the only way to take it back off the system was to reimage the box.

However... I've been running Whistler (AKA - Windows 2002 or Windows XP) Advanced Server for 6-8 months now as my internet gateway server at home... and it's been GREAT, some very slick features and no security issues yet (knock on wood!)
