Chapter 3: Defence of Valeia
Although Lathisia was sorrowed by the death of Gareth, She did give up hope on her quest, her quest to vanquish evil from the lands. She headed to the pub and was met by a sorrow-filled crowd, Gareth was there hero, there icon, there hero, and there defender. The last noble act that Gareth had performed before dying was slaying the evil serpentine man, that last stand took the rest of his life force. During Gareths funeral more bad news was brought, it seemed not long after Gareths death that his enemies had formed a camp. A spy had retrieved this information. He described there being atlest 200 Highland Rogues, 150 Nymphs, 250 Boogres, 500 strong burly trolls. He also reported there to be atleast 100 Serpent Priests, he also said the doing the math, there were about 1200 creatures waiting to asult.. It seemed the evil from all the lands were congrigating only 5 miles north-west of Valeia. It was no use sending messangers to Ishad N'Ha and Brimloch Roon, they could not make t there and back in time. The people of Valeiadid the only thing the could do, and trained and prepared everyone for battle. The smithy trained everyone with a sword and shield and the priests and wizards trined everyone in the magical arts. Although there were only 100 people fighting for Valeia, they were confident they would win. Lathisia prepared 2 smaller armies from 100 people. 50 People would defend the Gravard Path, and the other 50 would defend the Nymph Lake Path. Out of the 100 men, women, and children, only 20 were archers. As the day of the battle drew nearer, everyone felt less conident, but they new, if the defeated these creatures here, the whole Gael Serran would benifit. On the next day the army of 1200 drew closer. A bird flew over head and dropped a message on Lathisia's head, it said "Surrender now and we'll spare your miserable lives". Lathisia simply wrote a reply saying "we well never surrender, if you value your lives you shall leave and never return". She then tossed the not up in the air and called upon her earthen powers and sent it back with poisonus clouds, whirling dervishes, and locust swarms. This method of delivery managed to kill 200 of the 1200 monster, outlaws, and evil spirits. And after that the remaining 1000 charged in to attack."ATTACK!!" shouted Lathisia and the battle started!!
