Thanks to Jaradu for a fantastic idea and a perfect way of keeping bored minds busy! ;) I tried a hand at cryptic artist descriptions myself, I hope my own musical tastes aren't too glaringly obvious from this! Some of them might refer to artists that were also in the other quiz, I tried to avoid that though.

i don't understand? what the heck? anm i supposed to do?

ps: how did you change the font #

Use the clues to work out the name of a band/artist. For example, from my thread, I think there was one: "Victoria, Mary, Elizabeth" or something like that. The answer is queen. And "Dark Sunday" would be Black Sabbath. Geddit?

BTW, Mel, these are very good! Shame that they're also hard I'll have to put my thinking cap on... wow, when was the last time a used that metaphor?

Melusine 04-23-2004 06:08 PM

Thanks for the explanation, Jaradu!
Spirits, you do know what cryptic means, right?
I've made up obscure, ambiguous or funny definitions of band names, and the purpose of the game is to guess which bands I'm talking about. Look at the examples Jaradu gives, that should make it clearer.

Edit: Man, they're not that hard are they? Maybe the bands are too obscure... but then the most famous bands have been mentioned in the other thread, and there were a lot of older bands in there as well. I'd say that these are easier to guess for a younger audience (or at least, they might know the bands better)
Maybe I put in too many references to educated knowledge stuff though... oh well. GET TO IT ALREADY! ;)

Both are correct! It's easier if you post a new post with your answers once every while though, so I can see there have been new replies added. But either way is fine really.

I added Grojlach's answer to no. 2 which he gave through MSN, because he cannot get into Ironworks again and to be honest I might as well have put his name there in the beginning since I knew he'd get it immediately.

Nanobyte 04-23-2004 07:10 PM

Got a few more. I think that'll be all for today though.
