I thought it would be interesting for all darkstone players to list their best character(s) and tell about them a little (stats, armor, weapon, money ....). I have been playing a while now, but i know I don't have the baddest characters so i thought everyone might like to see who does. no one has to share if they dont want to, they have their reasons, but i think it would be a good conversation starter. All I ask is that people dont post hacked characters, I'd like to see the hard workers who don't cheat http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif I will start with my best character to lead them off.

class:warrior
namehttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/tongue.gifablo
level:65
damage inflicted:684
life:460
money:roughly $45million (seriously)
stats: umm i need to write them down, sorry
weapon of choice:level 80 sword w/ +40% damage and eternal youth (i feel very lucky to have found that!)
armour:level 12 helmet w/29 to all attr. and level 74 armor w/23 to all attr. and 26% to armor.
special items:2 necklaces and 4 rings that add around 30 to each attribute, 6 runes of concentration (just found out what they're good for http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif)

that's all i can think of for now but i'll update this later with exact numbers.

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh - not eternal youth. Be very very careful never to unequip that item, because as soon as you do, all the years that have been stored up will hit you at once. There are tales of players taking off that item and being 100 years old. At that age you can't be resurrected.

Drink some youth potions http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

And as you asked, here is a note of the way my stats were a little while ago. As I am now lvl 116, they have gone up a bit http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Level 110
Thief
Strength: 1198 (1234)
Magic: 926 (962)
Dexterity:1311 (1347)
Vitality: 971 (1007)
Life: (1507)
Mana: (664)
AC: 3589 (4014 with berserker)
%Hit: 778 (1628 with berserker)
Damage: 1186 - 1191
0% resist

money:roughly $146million (seriously http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/wow.gif )

Equipment (spell and max mana):

Amulet: +39% armour (berserker 767)
Amulet: +39% armour (berserker 774)
Ring: +36 all attributes (berserker 711)
Ring: +39% armour (berserker 1018)
Ring: +43% armour (berserker 876)
Ring: +43% armour (berserker 1041)
Helmet: armor 141, +41% armor (berserker 926)
Master’s armour: armor 115, +31% armor, increased spell duration
Shield: armor 122, +27% armor, (berserker 767)
Throwing axe:163 - 168, (berserker 1102)

As you can see, I have taken the max armour route rather than having +all items. Having lvl 17 berserk is kind of fun too

One tip to look out for when shopping is not to ignore items which don't have modifiers. Most players after a while skim over the items for sale ignoring plain ones without high + modifiers. Look closer - you might be missing "super durable" items which have very high base durability and can be upgraded a lot more than standard items. My axe is such an item.

Another tip I would use is to find an increased spell duration item. Once you have one, it's my betting you will never want to play without it again

Happy Hunting

All I have is a level 23 male thief with a sword that does 12-25 damage, his stats amplify that damage quite a bit though.

Neb 10-14-2001 03:07 PM

Can anyone tell me how the items that cast spells work? Do you have to activate them or do they constantly give you a bonus?

Mouse 10-14-2001 03:25 PM

Some items have spells attached linked to a certain amount of mana. These you have to trigger like any other selected spells and will need to be recharged every so often. Other items will automatically trigger a spell when used e.g. spark, magic missiles, touch of confusion, poison etc.

The manual will explain this all in more detail.

Hope this helps

many thanks for your imput mouse http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif i am humbled by your presence as you have been playing soo much longer then i have. exactly how long have you been playing? also, at that high of a level, do you have a really hard time getting experience or do you make your own quests? oh and i know all about keeping my age down, i just like the sword for show http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif i do have a few questions for you though.... how did you buy armor that was so high (helmet 141, armour 115)? were they modified?
thanks again for your responses and keep up the good work.

It took me a loooooooooooooong time to get such good equipment, It's all upgraded to duration = 50. Any less than this imho, and you risk it failing during hard fights.
